Author Vince Flynn coming to Eastview!

Students - author Vince Flynn is coming to Eastview on Wednesday, Sept. 30th from 9:15 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. to talk about how he became and author and to talk about his soon to be released book.

If you're interested in attending his presentation, please contact Dr. Beach via email todd.beach@district196.org so I can get you a pass to attend.

RMR Event Thursday - August 13th!

Hi everyone! I hope you've been enjoying a fun summer full of friends, family, activity, and of course some reading.

We are still planning to meet on Thursday, August 13th at "Buffalo Wild Wings" in Apple Valley at 11:30 a.m.

Please bring your own money for lunch and of course order what you want. We'll sit around and eat good food and talk about the book(s) you read over the summer.

We'll also talk about which book our group would like to read for the fall...there is a chance that author, Vince Flynn could attend one of our events this year so perhaps we could select another one of his titles. Certainly we'll entertain any recommendation you put forth.

Take care - I look forward to seeing you on Thursday (Aug. 13th)...why, because REAL MEN READ!

Copies of "DUNE" are available!

Students - the media center was able to secure many copies of DUNE for you to check out! Go the media center today to check out your copy and begin reading this great novel and be sure to sign up for our event using the post below!

Got Your Copy of "Angels & Demons"?

Students - let me know if you need a copy of "Angels & Demons" ...people from the community as well as Eastview faculty are willing to lend or donate a copy of the book for you. Contact Dr. Beach ASAP via email at todd.beach@district196.org to reserve a copy for yourself.

Also - when I checked with the Media Center today, they said there were 3 copies of the book available in the District 196 system which you can reserve. Go to the Media Center to reserve a copy for yourself if interested.

Finally - be sure to check out the Half Price Book Store in Apple Valley - they may have a copy at a reduced price for you to purchase.
